Erasmus+ Traineeships

Description

Erasmus+ supports traineeships (work placements, internships, etc) abroad for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in Programme countries at Bachelor and Master level as well as for doctoral candidates. These opportunities are also open to recent graduates.

Applicants

Students of a Higher Education Institution and recent graduates.

Destinations

All 28 European Union member states, Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Turkey.

Length

2 months to 12 months per cycle of studies.

Funding

Erasmus+ grant as a contribution to your travel and subsistence costs. €400 to €600 per month depending on the country.

Description

European Voluntary Service (EVS) is the European Commission's project that allows a young person to become a volunteer in another country for a specified period. The service activities can be, for example, in the field of environment, arts and culture, activities with children and many others.

Applicants

Any person aged between 17 and 30.

Length

2 weeks to 12 months.

Funding

Accommodation, board and any local transport are covered. You may also receive a small amount of 'pocket money'.

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs

Description

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses in other countries. The exchange of experience takes place during a stay with the experienced entrepreneur, who helps the new entrepreneur acquire the skills needed to run a small firm.

Anyone.

Destinations

All 28 European Union member states.

Length

1 month to 6 months.

Funding

Travel support and subsistence costs during the exchange.

Internships in European Institutions

Description

European Institutions such as European Parliament, European Commission, Council of European Union, European Court of Justice and many others take on trainees. Known as stagiaires, the trainees can be students, university graduates or linguists, and are given tasks similar to those of lower-grade administrators.

Applicants

University graduates from an EU member country or an EU candidate country with at least a Bachelor's degree.

Destinations

Brussels,Luxembourg, Member States capitals.

Length

1 month to 12 month (most common is a 5 month period).

Funding

Grant to cover your living and travel expenses.

Eurodyssée

Description

Eurodyssée is an exchange programme of the Assembly of European Regions (AER) which allows young job seekers to benefit from a traineeship placement abroad. The sending organisation will submit the young persons application and profile to potential employers of their network.

All 35 Assembly of European Regions member states.

3 months to 7 months.

Description

An au pair is a domestic assistant from a foreign country working for, and living as part of, a host family. Typically, au pairs take on a share of the family's responsibility for childcare as well as some housework, and receive a monetary allowance for personal use.
